What advantage is there to taking my course with
Fast Beats CPR and First Aid?
The owner and instructor is medically trained and has experience dealing with test anxiety, learning disabilities and language barriers. Quality instruction is assured. We strive in knowing that people taking our courses will leave feeling very confident in their skills with a good understanding of the material.
How far in advance do I need to register?
We recommend booking as far in advance as possible, to ensure enrolment. Discounts may be provided, situation dependent. Discounted classes fill up fast, therefore we do recommend booking quickly.
How long does it take to receive my certificate?
Once an Instructor has submitted the completed paperwork to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, an email will be sent immediately to the email address provided. This email will notify you of your successful completion of the course, and provide you with details on how to access your eCard. If you did not have a resuscitation portal account prior to taking your class, you will receive two emails:
1) The first email will contain login instructions for your portal account including your temporary password, and
2) The second email will notify you of your successful completion of the course, and provide you with details on how to access your eCard. If you do not have an email address but require proof of course completion you will need to:
•Inform your instructor prior to the course. You will also need to provide HSF with a mailing address and phone number so that a card can then be mailed to you. Please note, after May 16th, 2015, in order to receive an eCard you will be required to pay the instructor a $5.00+tax fee. OR
•Contact the Resuscitation Support Centre (RSC) following the course by phone at 1.877.473.0333 to request a card. As outlined above, you will be asked to provide a valid mailing address and phone number so that a card can be mailed to you. Please note, after May 16th, 2015, in order to receive an eCard you will be required to pay a $5.00+tax fee. Cards are usually delivered by mail within 2-3 weeks.
What should I wear?
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
What I have a limiting physical condition?
If you have physical conditions that might prevent you from participating in the course, please tell one of the instructors when you arrive for the course. The instructor will work to accommodate your needs within the stated course completion requirements. In the event that you are ill, please notify your instructor to reschedule your training.
What is the maximum class size?
The maximum class size for each course is 12 people per instructor. We do offer very flexible class times and try to accommodate as best as we can to ensure course times are available.
When is payment due?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Interac, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cheque, cash or E-transfer on the day of the course. Please keep in mind that if a credit card is used, there is an additional 3% processing fee.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
48 hours notice is required to cancel a course.
